My Omi made the first Christmas cookies of the season today. It made me very happy. <3

Anyway, here are the lines for the back cover of the next issue of our school's Cartooning magazine, Inkstains.

I had a lot of fun with this. I used The Atlas of Pern as my main ref...that cartographer has such a beautiful way of illustrating things. All the names refer to teachers/well-known figures in the Cartooning department and also incorporates a few names of dorms in SVA. <3

AAHHH I have become so nonexistent on my sites lately...I feel really bad about it. I'll try to post more here from now on. <3

It's mainly due to the complete illegibility of my sketches, if I even sketch at all nowadays, I'm so busy. these are some of the more legible ones. funny how most of them are pokémon related...XD;; <3

I just got out of my Watercolor class. It's turning out to be amazing, and it's all due to my teacher, David Soman. He is a master, and has somehow taught me how to start to use this medium that I am normally HORRIBLE at. He has taught me how to love this medium and really given me a new respect for it. He is completely unbiased and always gives such amazing advice, and is overall just the best teacher I have ever had. I really want to take him again next year for his advanced class.

I haven't posted some of my works from the previous classes yet because it looks like a 10-year-old did them, but now I think I am finally getting the hang of it and am a bit more comfortable showing you guys something.

Looking back, I'm just so happy that the Gouache class didn't fit into my schedule!! lol

a self portrait I did for my first assignment in drawing. the teacher mistook me for an illustration major, and coming from someone like him, it was a huge compliment. especially since I've never seriously used charcoals before and had no idea what the hell I was doing. lol

school started...this year is insane. from a class the teacher calls 'Torture Therapy' to other hardcore studies, this year promises to be one of my biggest challenges yet. It's very exciting. I'm looking forward to learning a lot from my amazing teachers.

like damn. white is easily the most difficult color to shade/color properly.
